Founded in 1987 by Mark Anderson, Mark Anderson Construction Ltd (MACL) embarked on a journey to become a leader in groundworks construction. Over the years, MACL has grown from strength to strength, driven by a commitment to excellence, a vision for innovation, and dedication to delivering quality projects. Our history has been shaped not just by our projects, but also by our people and our evolving company structure. A significant milestone in our journey is the recent formation of an Employee Ownership Trust, marking the next chapter in MACL’s legacy. This transition embodies our belief in the collective power of our employees and sets the foundation for a future where every member has a stake in our shared success.

In celebrating our past and future, we honour the extraordinary long-service achievements of four dedicated employees, who have not just witnessed, but also contributed to the growth and success of our company.

At MACL, we’ve always believed that the foundation of our success lies in the dedication and hard work of our team. 

First, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Paul Davies and Steve Bowers each marking a remarkable 20 years with MACL. Paul, who at the age of 16 began his journey with us on our apprenticeship scheme, has risen through the ranks to become one of our esteemed Senior Site Managers. Steve, an A1 Groundworker, has showcased exceptional skill and dedication in his role. Their unwavering commitment and expertise in construction have been pivotal in shaping the landscapes we’ve proudly built upon. 

Celebrating 30 years with MACL is Lenny Greenland, a role model for all in the position of Groundworker. Lenny’s journey is marked by his deep expertise and unwavering dedication, making him an invaluable asset to our team. His exceptional work ethic and mastery in groundworks have significantly contributed to our projects’ success.

Last but certainly not least and marking an extraordinary 35 years with MACL is Mark Stocking. Mark who has grown with the company from his initial position as a site labourer to become one of our esteemed Production Managers. Mark’s tenure with us is not just a measure of time, but a testament to his exceptional skills, leadership, and vision. His journey mirrors the growth of MACL itself, making him an integral part of our history and success.

As we celebrate these milestones, we recognize the unwavering commitment, skill, and leadership that Paul, Steve, Lenny, and Mark have demonstrated. They are not just employees but the bedrock of MACL, upholding the values and excellence we strive for every day.
